Using a Critical Friends process can help you move through the Explain and Elaborate phases with support and feedback provided by your peers. This process allows you to reflect on your learning, explain what you did and why, and see where you might transfer that learning to other areas.
Directions
Ponder the following questions:
How did the overall experience go?
What was your biggest “a ha” that you discovered during the experience?
What was something that puzzled you with the prototypes that students designed?
How did students do with collecting, analyzing and using data?
What changes did you make while implementing the bite-sized experience with students? What changes did you make after reflecting on the implementation? why?
How did the students' final product compare with the criteria and constraints identified?
Reflect/Put Into Practice
See reflection questions on slide #7.
